The platform

Capture to confirm
to paid.

ForgeField is a field-service operations platform. The AI-fast estimate is the front door; behind it is the system your whole operation runs on.

Module A · Capture & estimates 01 / 06

Get in, get out. The phone does the paperwork.

The capture app is built for one hand while a customer is standing next to you. Photograph each work area, mark the photo with trade-specific strokes — fill, lift, caulk — retake if you need to, submit. Photos and markup are the only part that has to happen on the property.

The pricing happens wherever you’re comfortable. Most estimators would rather not say a number out loud in front of the homeowner, so they hold the record button back at the truck and talk the job through the way they’d explain it to a crew. Some skip the memo entirely and price the draft at a desk that evening. The system doesn’t care which — the estimate is the same either way.

The drafter agent matches your markup and transcript against your own service templates — deterministic first, language-model judgment only where the signal is ambiguous — prices the line items, applies your legal terms, and assembles the estimate. Drafts arrive in about 30 seconds and cost pennies to produce. Turn the agent off entirely and capture still works; the draft simply lands empty and priced by you.

Annotations are stored as resolution-independent coordinates, so the same markup renders crisply on the phone that captured it, the tablet that reviews it, and the PDF the customer prints.

Module A · Review & send 02 / 06

You stay the estimator. The agent stays the typist.

Every draft lands in a review inbox where each line item is editable — adjust prices, add items from your preset catalog, attach notes. Nothing goes to a customer without your approval; the agent never freelances your pricing or your terms.

Approve once and the customer gets a branded, mobile-first landing page with a matching PDF — both rendered from the same source, so they never disagree. Links are cryptographically signed; no customer accounts, no logins, no friction.

Delivery is tracked end-to-end — sent, delivered, opened. A bounced email surfaces as an item needing your attention, not a silent failure you discover a week later when the customer “never got it.” And an estimate that goes quiet gets an automatic follow-up on your schedule, in your words, so the ones you’d never get around to chasing get chased anyway.

Module A · Confirm 03 / 06

The confirm button is the whole point.

The customer opens the estimate on their phone, reads line items priced from the walkthrough they just watched you do, and taps confirm. No account, no login, no PDF to print and sign. You’re notified the moment it happens, and the work moves onto the job board automatically — every confirmed estimate in the pilot became a job without anyone typing it in.

Speed changes close rates. A homeowner collecting three bids gets yours before the second estimator has left their driveway — while the conversation, the handshake, and the confidence are still fresh.

This is the part of the funnel most tools leave alone. Estimating software stops at the PDF; the gap between “sent” and “won” is where the money actually goes missing. ForgeField treats the confirm as the product: signed link out, delivery tracked, follow-up if it goes quiet, job created the moment they say yes.

Module B · Leads & intake 04 / 06

Every lead in one place. None of them re-typed.

Website form fills arrive with how the customer wants to be reached. Forwarded emails become leads automatically — an agent reads the provider’s HTML and pulls out the name, phone, and address. Angi leads import through a browser extension that also marks the ones Angi closed as lost, so dead leads drop out of your working list instead of getting re-qualified.

Tag-based filtering, map views with drag-select, and estimate-aware actions on every lead row: schedule the visit, start the capture, or open the last estimate — from the list.

Tell the system what each source costs you and the funnel does the arithmetic nobody does by hand: cost per lead, cost per won job, close rate by channel. In the pilot that math is the difference between a $62 lead and what it actually costs to win work from it.

Modules C–D · Jobs, scheduling & routing 05 / 06

The week, legible at a glance.

Confirmed work lands on a board you can read three ways — list, calendar, map. Visits carry durations, so a day’s schedule is an honest plan instead of a hopeful guess.

Route optimization orders the day’s stops to cut windshield time, and the finished route shares as a link your crew can open on the road without an account.

Modules E–F · Invoices, payments & reports 06 / 06

From confirmed to invoiced to reconciled.

Invoices draft from the estimate — line items, discounts, and tax carried over, editable to match reality on the ground. Record the payment however it actually arrived — check, cash, card, Venmo — send a receipt from the same screen, and see what’s outstanding without a spreadsheet.

Reports read from the same production data: a sales ledger that knows what actually closed, and a lead funnel that knows what every source actually produced. Not analytics theater — the numbers you’d pull by hand, already pulled.

Questions owners ask
Do I need to change how I do walkthroughs?

No. Walk the property with the customer and take photos exactly as you do now — marking up the photo is the only addition, and it takes seconds. Pricing is deliberately separate: dictate it at the truck, or type it at a desk later. Nothing requires you to quote a number in front of the homeowner.

Do I have to use the voice memo?

No. The memo is what lets the agent draft the line items for you, and most owners use it because talking is faster than typing on a job site. But you can skip it and build the estimate from your preset catalog yourself — or switch the drafting agent off completely and use ForgeField as a fast, well-organized estimate builder.

Does the AI set my prices?

No. The drafter prices from your own service templates and your spoken numbers. Every draft goes through your review before anything reaches a customer, and every line is editable.

Can my customer pay through ForgeField?

Not yet. You invoice from the system and record how the payment actually arrived — check, cash, card, Venmo — and receipts send from the same screen. Card processing on the confirm and the invoice is what we’re building next; we’d rather tell you that now than have you find out in month two.

What happens to estimates the customer never answers?

They get followed up automatically, on a delay you set, in wording you control — and you see delivered and opened status on every one. In the pilot that has meant 97 follow-ups the owner would otherwise never have sent.

What does my customer see?

A branded, mobile-first estimate page with your line items, terms, and a confirm button — plus a matching PDF. No account creation, no app download, no login.

What trades does ForgeField support?

The platform is running in production for concrete leveling, and the capture vocabulary, service templates, and terms are configurable per trade. Blacktop, HVAC, pest, roofing, and adjacent on-site trades are on the roadmap — pilot slots decide the order.

How long does setup take?

Pilots onboard with us directly: your service catalog, pricing, legal terms, and branding are configured with you. Most owners send their first real estimate the same week.

Run the same walkthrough. Keep the evening.

We onboard a small number of pilot companies at a time — your templates, your pricing, your branding, set up with you. If the platform doesn’t pay for itself inside a month, walk away.
